The ID.Buzz will be built on Volkswagen's Modular Electric Drive (MEB) platform, which is currently utilized in corporate vehicles such as the Audi Q4 e-tron crossover and the VW ID.4 crossover. While Europe will have access to both a commercial and passenger version of the ID.Buzz, the United States will exclusively receive the long-wheelbase passenger variant. The base model will be equipped with a single rear-mounted electric motor, generating 282 horsepower. Additionally, a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive configuration offering 335 horsepower will be available.

The 1st Edition trim is a special launch model based on the Pro S Plus and includes everything from the upper trim while adding exclusive details. This version features two-tone exterior paint, a fixed electrochromic panoramic glass roof, unique interior styling, roof-rail crossbars, and 20-inch disc-style wheels. It’s available in both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, with pricing starting at $65,495 and going up to $69,995 depending on the drivetrain and configuration.

Performance across the lineup is strong, with the ID. Buzz equipped with a 91 kWh battery. Rear-wheel drive models offer an EPA-estimated range of about 234 miles, while all-wheel drive models come in slightly lower at around 231 miles due to the added weight and power of the dual-motor system.
