Additionally, these enhancements have led to improvements in estimated EPA range, with an increase ranging between eight and sixteen miles, resulting in a range of 263 to 291 miles. Furthermore, the ID.4 sees the introduction of a new 12.9-inch infotainment display, backlit controls for volume and climate control, and a selection of fresh wheel designs.

With its single rear-mounted motor, the ID.4 equipped with the smaller 58.0-kWh battery delivers 201 horsepower, while the top-of-the-line dual-motor, all-wheel-drive model featuring the larger 77.0-kWh battery boasts an impressive 330 horsepower. While the ID.4 may not handle as sharply as some other EVs, it compensates with a smooth and refined ride quality, complemented by a quiet cabin.

For the 2024 model year, models equipped with the 77.0-kWh battery pack enjoy increased EPA-estimated driving ranges. The all-wheel-drive version is rated at 263 miles, while the rear-wheel-drive version achieves an impressive 291 miles. Currently, there are no EPA estimates available for the ID.4's base 58.0-kWh battery pack.

Previously, it could power the single-motor rear-wheel-drive version for up to 209 miles between charges. The battery can be charged at home using 110- or 240-volt connections and is also compatible with DC fast-charging technology.
