Updates to the People First Warranty for 2020

Two key updates to the People First Warranty for 2020 include:

1. The 2020 bumper-to-bumper warranty period is for four years or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
2. Two years of regularly scheduled Volkswagen maintenance is now included for no additional cost.

The People First Warranty is a limited warranty offered on all new 2020 Volkswagen models. It provides full coverage for defects in workmanship and materials. It also offers limited coverage for parts, paint, brakes, tires and wheels, the infotainment system, and more. Please keep in mind that there are some exceptions to what limited coverage is provided for tires, wheels, and brake pads.

Volkswagen Drive Easy Program Protection Plans

You can customize your Volkswagen Drive Easy Program with the protection plans that best suit your needs. Optional coverages offered through this program include:

• Vehicle Service Protection: Extend the People First Warranty coverage period up to 10 years or 150,000 miles. This protection plan covers mechanical repairs, including the costs for parts and labor. It also includes 24-Hour Roadside Assistance, rental care coverage, and trip interruption coverage.
• Term Protection: The protection plan covers parts and labor for those components that wear out for up to six years or 72,000 miles, such as brake pads, battery, wheel alignment, headlamps, and windshield wiper blades.
• Tire & Wheel Protection with Optional Cosmetic Coverage: With this coverage, your tires and wheels are protected for up to seven years with no mileage restrictions from road hazards. The optional cosmetic coverage includes cosmetic repairs for damages to your wheels.
• Key Protection: This optional plan covers the costs to replace lost, damaged, or stolen keys, as well as vehicle lockouts when the keys are inside your VW.
• GAP Insurance: If you finance your VW, GAP insurance covers the difference between what your insurance pays in a total loss and what is still owed on your car loan.
• Lease-End Protection: If you lease your VW, this plan covers up to $10,000 in excess wear and tear charges—dents dings, chips, stains, and more—as well as excess mileage charges for up to 500 excess miles, as well as other benefits.
• Certified Pre-Owned Service Protection: Extend the remaining warranty period on your CPO VW for up to 10 years or 150,000 miles, which includes roadside assistance, towing, rental car reimbursement, trip interruption coverage, and other benefits.
• Theft Protection: This plan provides coverage for six years against theft of your VW, with a benefit of $5,000 if the theft-protection product fails to prevent theft of your VW.
• Multi-Coverage Protection: The protection plan includes several different coverages, including dent protection, windshield protection, key protection, and tire and wheel protection with optional cosmetic coverage.
